Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology:

    The department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology act as a foundation for imparting knowledge regarding medical jurisprudence, clinical forensic medicine and medical toxicology in the UT. Recently as per latest NMC guidelines, the subject has been upgraded from paraclinical to clinical subject which shows the emphasis being given to its importance in medical teaching.

Vision :

  • To emphasize upon quality training and teaching in medical education to all the medical students of GMCH that involves competency based Medical Education.
  • To align Medicolegal services in GMCH.
  • To organize and conduct seminars & workshops including medicolegal education in collaboration with other departments.
  • Intend to research in the department so as to make it academically strong.
