Together, within the Department of Ophthalmology, our aim is to illuminate the path towards ocular health of
our patients.

individual receives tailored and compassionate treatment.
Besides imparting training to under graduate students, interns and junior residents the department imparts
training to the ophthalmic assistant students. Wide range of surgical modalities available in the department
are as Cataract, Pterygium, Chalazion, DCR, DCT, Cyst excision, Entropion correction, Ectropion correction.
Mission:
To train medical & paramedical students to diagnose & treat ocular diseases using the best state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment modalities.
Develop affordable evidence-based investigation and treatment methods.
To provide eye care services.
Vision :
To explore possible use of Stem cells in Ocular disorders.
Develop “Gene therapy” for eye diseases.
Establish an Ocular Oncology Unit.
Prepare students for subspecialties.
